For us, Easter is the moment when everything comes together: the arrival of spring, a table full of beautiful dishes, and, of course, wines that elevate the whole experience. Whether you're enjoying an elaborate brunch with family or serving a lamb dish in the evening, the right bottle truly makes Easter a celebration. We'd love to share our favorite Easter wines with you. 🥂 For Easter brunch: fresh bubbles in your glass An Easter brunch without bubbles? Unthinkable, as far as we're concerned. Sparkling wine immediately creates a festive mood and pairs beautifully with everything on the table: from smoked salmon and quiches to fresh salads and egg dishes. Our recommendation is the Rotari Brut Cuvée 28. Elegant, refined, and wonderfully fresh with notes of apple and citrus. A true crowd-pleaser that surprises both novice wine lovers and connoisseurs alike. For a smaller gathering or looking for a nice addition to an Easter basket? Then the Crémant de Bourgogne Bailly Lapierre Réserve Piccolo (small bottle) is perfect. The same quality and finesse, but in a handy size. Ideal for an intimate moment or as a festive aperitif. 🌿 For Easter dinner: Grüner Veltliner from Weingut Weszeli Easter marks the beginning of spring, and a fresh, lively white wine is a perfect fit. The Grüner Veltliner from Weingut Weszeli is such a wine that instantly brings energy to your table. This Austrian classic from Kamptal is crisp, mineral, and delicately herbaceous, with fresh notes of green apple, citrus, and a subtle hint of pepper on the finish. It pairs beautifully with: Asparagus (the vegetable of the season) Light fish dishes Salads with fresh vinaigrette Quiches and vegetarian dishes The wine has enough tension and freshness to complement dishes, yet remains elegant and easy to drink. Exactly what you want during a long, pleasant Easter lunch or dinner. 🐑 Lamb for Easter? Choose Deutzerhof “Legere” This month, we're seeing it more and more: a beautiful piece of lamb on the table for Easter. And of course, that calls for a suitable red wine. The Deutzerhof “Legere” from Ahr is an excellent choice. Light-bodied yet full of character, with refined notes of red fruit, subtle herbaceousness, and an elegant structure. This wine has enough freshness not to be too heavy, but also enough depth to perfectly complement the tender, herbaceous character of lamb. Serve it slightly chilled, and you'll notice how beautifully the wine and dish enhance each other. Easter is about enjoying together Whether you choose sparkling bubbles for brunch, a fresh Grüner Veltliner for dinner, or an elegant red wine with lamb, the most important thing is to enjoy. Enjoy the moment, enjoy each other, and enjoy what's in your glass. At Wijnhuis Cave, we're happy to help you put together your perfect Easter selection. Because good wine is meant to be shared, and Easter is the ideal time for it. Cheers to a tasteful Easter! 🥂

While Rioja is best known for its red wines, the region also produces exceptionally good white wines.
