Domaine Robert Vic

In the heart of sunny Languedoc, between Béziersand Agde, lies one of Southern France's most exceptional family estates: Domaine Robert Vic, also known as Preignes le Vieux. For five generations, the Vic family has been crafting wines that are approachable, full of character, and above all, made with great pleasure. The popular wine series Greg & Jujuis perhaps the finest example of this.

More than a century of family history

The story of Domaine Robert Vic began in 1905, when the great-grandfather of the current Vic family purchased the historic Preignes le Vieux estate. The domain itself has a much longer history: the castle dates back to 1202and remains the heart of the winery.

Today, the fifth generation is at the helm. Jérôme Vic, together with his wife and winemaker Aurélie Vic-Trébuchon, leads the winery. Their shared vision is clear: to create modern, fruity wines that are accessible to a wide audience, without compromising on quality or authenticity.

A unique terroir close to the Mediterranean Sea

The vineyards of Domaine Robert Vic are located just a few kilometers from the Mediterranean Sea. The combination of warm, sunny days and refreshing sea breezes ensures perfectly ripe grapes that retain their fresh character.

The soil is equally remarkable. Volcanic basalt, clay, and gravel provide a poor but mineral-rich subsoil. The vines must root deeply to find water and nutrients, resulting in lower yields but grapes with great concentration and flavor. You can taste this in every bottle.

Greg & Juju: a wine series with a smile

The Greg & Jujuseries is named after the children of the Vic family. The cheerful illustrations on the label perfectly reflect what these wines stand for: conviviality, spontaneity, and enjoyment without overcomplicating things.

Yet, behind the playful appearance lies serious craftsmanship. Each wine is carefully blended from grapes that perfectly match the fresh, fruity style for which Greg & Juju is known. The rosé, made from Pinot Noirand Grenache, is a beautiful example of this. With its light color, fresh aromas of raspberries, redcurrants, and subtle Mediterranean herbs, it is a true South French terrace wine that also pairs excellently with salads, fish dishes, and barbecue.

Modern winemakers with respect for tradition

Although Domaine Robert Vic has a rich history, the winery primarily looks to the future. Modern winemaking techniques are employed to optimally preserve the fruit, while sustainability plays an increasingly important role in the vineyards.

As an oenologist, Aurélie Vic brings a contemporary vision and regularly experiments with unique grape varieties and new wine styles. This allows the family business to continue developing, without losing sight of the domain's identity.
